PG Department of Marathi


The Department of Marathi (PG) has been working in the college from its inception. The Department of Marathi (PG) aims at the preservation and canvass of Marathi language & literature. Marathi Literary Association has been the integral and innovative activities of the department. The department also encourages the students to express their creative thinking and ideas through. The ‘Srujan’ wall poster.

The eminent personalities, writers Poets such as Rangnath Pathare ,Dasu Vaidhya , Shankar Sakharam, Keshav Deshmukh, have visited the department . The Department has Organized3 days National Conference on critical study of 9short stories in seven Indian languages during the Academic year 2018- 19.

The department also conducts various co- curricular and Extra Curricular Activities such as, elocution, Poetry Reading, Best Reader, hand writing, Essay Competition, Dram, Role playing etc. The faculties and students of the department participate Various Conferences, Seminar & Workshop as well as ‘Marathi Sahity Sammelan’. The department also arranges field visits.

The department work for the overall development of linguistic Competencies of the students
