Department of Commerce

Department of Commerce has been established in the year 2004-2005 and intake of departement is 258. The students, who wish to work in a corporate world, usually select the commerce field in their education. With the positive changing scenario around the world in the realm of economic activity, selecting Commerce as a career option is one of the best to grab. Commerce students get familiar with knowledge of business, trade, market fluctuation, basics of economics, fiscal policies, industrial policies, share market, stock markets, etc. Gone are the days when Bachelor in Commerce course offers two major options-B.Com with Accountancy and B.Com with Management.
However, with the requirements of the industry, some specialised disciplines are available with Commerce. Students now can specialise in Bachelor in Accountancy and Finance (BAF), Bachelor in Banking and Insurance (BBI) and Bachelor in Financial Markets (BFM). One can also get a good placement after successfully completing the B.Com course and Advanced Diploma in Tourism and Travel Management. After completing these courses, the graduates often have the opportunity of campus placements where salary between 3.00 to 9.00 lakh are offered. Commerce count the all activities those are involved in the exchange of goods and services considered to the money, between the person and companies.Commerce is the only backbone which may cause the market and the economy of the company. Through commerce they can do carrier in many fields such as Accountancy,Economics,Mathematics,Business,Finance,Business economics,Cost accounting,Income tax,Auditing,Business finance,Marketing,Business law.

Eligibility
Eligibility for the students to join B.Com is to have Completed XII Commerce or Science. Students who have Passed their HSC in more than one attempt are also eligible for this Programme.
Admission Procedure
For First Year:
- Students should have passed the H.S.C. examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or any examination recognized as equivalent to H.S.C., for admission to B.Com. Programme.
Application for admission to the college must be made on the prescribed printed form. The form must be accompanied by :
- Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate and Original Marksheet of the last examination passed, with two true copies if coming from a college affiliated to the Mumbai University/Maharashtra Board.
- Transfer Certificate / Leaving Certificate, Migration Certificate, Marksheet Verification from Previous Board, and Marksheet of the last examination, with two true copies if coming from a college affiliated to any other Board / University.
- Students coming from any other Board / University should submit the Provisional Eligibility Certificate from the University of Mumbai.
- Two Passport Size Photographs.
Documents Requirement
For First Year Admission Along with Admission Form:
- Aadhar Card – 1 Photocopy
- SSC Marksheet – 3 Photocopies
- HSC Original Marksheet + 3 Photocopies
- HSC Original Leaving Certificate + 3 Photocopies
- Students who are passing as Private Candidate are required to attach Original Private Candidate Certificate + 2 Attested Photo Copies.
- If there is any gap in academic career ‘Gap Certificate’ is required to attach along with its Photo copy with admission form.
- Students passing H.S.C. examination from other than Maharashtra State are required to get Transfer Certificate and submit Original copy with Original H.S.C. Marksheet, Original Migration Certificate and their 2 attested Photo copies. Student are required to do Marksheet Verification from previous Board.
For S.Y & T.Y Students from other college
- Original copy of No Objection Certificate along with its Photo copy from concerned college & Transfer Certificate
- Last year’s Original Mark sheet + 2 attested Photo copies.
- If there is any gap in academic career ‘Gap Certificate’ is required to be attached along with its photo copy with the admission form.
For S.Y & T.Y Students from other University
- Original copy of No Objection Certificate along with its Photo copy from concerned college, Transfer Certificate and Marksheet Verification.

After completing the Bachelor of Commerce degree, students are able to
