Department of Account & Finance


Department of Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance[BAF] established in the year 2016-17 in our college. This course was actually introduced by the University of Mumbai in the year 2003-04. Intake of BAF in First, Second and Third Year is 60 students per year. This course is of 3 Years and has Six semester. Candidates should pass in HSC in any areas like Arts, Commerce and Science or Diploma course in any Engineering Branches to apply for the admission. BAF degree will help you to gain knowledge in areas like financial accounting, Cost accounting, Auditing, IT, Taxation, Economics and Business Law, Business communications.

Activities

  • Conducting workshop in which they gain practical as well as theory knowledge.
  • Conduct lecture series on current scenerio like GST,Consumer protection,law related with women etc.
  • Add on courses like Basic financial accounting ,Accounting software etc.
  • We also conduct Industrial Visit for Students in which they visit an IT Company.
  • We also conduct Parents meeting for showing Students Performance.

Eligibility


Eligibility for the students to join B.Com in Accounting & Finance is to have Completed XII Commerce or Science Stream. Only students who have completed their HSC in one attempt are eligible for this Course.

Admission Procedure


For First Year:
  • Students should have passed the H.S.C. examination conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or any examination recognized as equivalent to H.S.C., for admission to VMDC.
Application for admission to the college must be made on the prescribed printed form. The form must be accompanied by :
  • Leaving Certificate / Transfer Certificate and Original Mark-sheet of the last examination passed, with two true copies if coming from a college affiliated to the Mumbai University/Maharashtra Board.
  • Transfer Certificate / Leaving Certificate, Migration Certificate, Marksheet Verification from Previous Board, and Mark-sheet of the last examination, with two true copies if coming from a college affiliated to any other Board / University.
  • Students coming from any other Board / University should submit the Provisional Eligibility Certificate from the University of Mumbai.
  • Two Passport Size Photographs.

Documents Requirement


For First Year Admission Along with Admission Form:
  • Aadhar Card – 1 Photocopy
  • SSC Marksheet – 3 photocopies
  • HSC Original Marksheet + 3 Photocopies
  • HSC Original Leaving Certificate + 3 Photocopies
  • Students who are passing as Private Candidate are required to attach Original Private Candidate Certificate + 2 attested Photo Copies.
  • If there is any gap in academic career ‘Gap Certificate’ is required to attach along with its Photo copy with admission form.
  • Students passing H.S.C. examination from other than Maharashtra State are required to get Transfer Certificate and submit Original copy with Original H.S.C. Mark sheet, Original Migration Certificate and their 2 attested Photo copies. Student are required to do Marksheet Verification from previous Board.
For S.Y & T.Y Students from other college
  • Original copy of No Objection Certificate along with its Photo copy from concerned college & Transfer Certificate
  • Last year’s Original Mark sheet + 2 attested Photo copies.
  • If there is any gap in academic career ‘Gap Certificate’ is required to be attached along with its photo copy with the admission form.
For S.Y & T.Y Students from other University
  • Original copy of No Objection Certificate along with its Photo copy from concerned college, Transfer Certificate and Marksheet Verification.

Course Outcome


After completing the Bachelor of Accountancy and Finance, students are able to
